Hiking the Two Lakes Trail in the Hoosier National Forest

This weekend my friend Jen and I took a trip to the Hoosier National Forest for a long day hike. The weather was nice and the sun was shining and we had a blast. You can watch the video here: Two Lakes Trail in the Hoosier National Forest

Very beautiful, this place is on my “Must go” list :). Lots of American Beech, I see….they are the trees with light brown, curled leaves. They hang onto them through winter until the spring buds…you can identify American Beech at a distance this time of year because of this. The only other trees that tend to hold onto their leaves are younger oaks, and their foliage turns a much darker brown colour.
