Campsite Tour Browns Creek Campground Colorado

During our Colorado Trip, we stopped off in Buena Vista to visit a good friend of mine Brian Galyon from Colorado Backcountry Adventures. Brian always knows the best camp spots and he took us to the Browns Creek Campground area which is located between Buena Vista and Salida Colorado at the base of Mt Antero. This is Rocky Mountain National Park

One of the most beautiful stops we made on our Colorado and Utah adventure was to Rocky Mountain National Park. We drove along the trail ridge road and up to an elevation of about 12,000 feet. We stopped at various spots to capture these magnificent views. It truly is one of the prettiest places I have ever been to. At one point, we stopped to go up a trail called the tundra communities trail. It wasn’t very long but it was very windy. It was on this trail that I had a marmot come right up to me as if to ask me to take his picture. I obliged of course and watched him for a brief while until it became just too cold and windy to do so. This vacation with my kids was a dream of mine for so long and I am glad I got to share the experience with them.
