The Peninsula Trail Overnighter

Had a fantastic time out on Lake Monroe near Bloomington Indiana. Me and a gaggle of other outdoor YouTubers took the five mile trail to the shore line and camped out. It rained on us almost the entire hike in but stopped when we got there. Check out the fun here: Peninsula Trail Overnighter

Return to the Oriole West Trail in the Hoosier National Forest

After last week’s grueling three day hike and camp on the adventure hiking trail, I wanted to get out on a nice, pleasant day hike. Luckily, a friend of mine who heads up a hiking club invited me to return to one of my favorite trails in the Hoosier National Forest.

Why I Hike 2016 Year in Review

Hiking the Nebo Ridge Trail in the Hoosier National Forest

So I thought I was gonna be a Billy Bad A** and attempt to do 17 miles in a single day hike. I set out on the Nebo Ridge Trail in the Hoosier National Forest in Brown County Indiana. The trail was actually pretty pleasant when you got to the top of the ridge. The initial elevation gain was not too bad either. The think that kicked my butt was the sheer mileage of it all. I recommend this for experienced hikers who have lots of stamina. Overall, it was still a great experience because it felt good to think of such a great accomplishment while on my way to the hospital lol JK

Hiking the Mogan Ridge East Trail in the Hoosier National Forest

This trail has eluded me for well over a year now and I was determined to kick its butt. In this video, you will find me complaining the entire way. I come across mud, bugs, spider webs, ticks, and heat. I ended up finishing it and I feel glad that I did. I think this trail would be better to do in the spring or the fall but now that I have completed it, I will leave that to others to decide lol..

Solo Overnight Camp in the Charles C. Deam Wilderness

I needed to get back out for a nature fix so I decided to head back to the Charles C Deam Wilderness near Bloomington Indiana. I went back to a spot that I knew and about 100 yards away a group of drunken yahoos decided to take up residence at the next camp spot. That’s okay, I did not let them ruin my fun and I even got some reviews filmed while I was there. The next morning, I packed up and headed out and forgot to film my way back to the car.

Hiking the Hickory Ridge Trail in the Hoosier National Forest

This past weekend I took a trip to the Hoosier National Forest to try out the Hickory Ridge Trail. It is a 48.7 mile multi use trail located near Bloomington Indiana. I only did a section of it but ended up totally 11+ miles. Along the way, I ran into several sets of horseback riders and had some excitement for the day. If you are interested in doing this trail, make sure you go after a long dry spell or you will be sloshing through the mud. It is a relatively easy trail with only a few sections of elevation. It winds through hardwoods and sections of pines and has some really pretty water crossing. You can watch the video here: Hickory Ridge Trail in the Hoosier National Forest
