The Blue Lakes Trail Colorado

This hike was one that I have been wanting to do for some time. It is a relatively easy 6.6 out and back hike with only the first mile or so being the most difficult. The pay off for this hike is three of the most beautiful blue glacier fed mountain lakes you can imagine. I only saw one of them and we also had a surprise visitor on the trail but I would recommend this hike to anyone.

Zion National Park

Zion is one of the most beautiful places to visit in our country and provides so many wonderful views of nature and wildlife it is almost criminal not to see it. In this video, I share some of the most popular areas of the park including the hike to Angels Landing and The Narrows.

Half Dome

For my first video of the 18 day road trip, I present to you my hike up Half Dome at Yosemite National Park. This was probably one of the most challenging and satisfying things I have done to date. I am so glad I did not give up on the trail when I wanted to so many times.

Exploring a Secret Waterfall at Boch Hollow State Nature Preserve

My friend Jen and I took a day trip to nearby Ohio to check out a waterfall I read about in Backpacker Magazine. The picture of it in the magazine was just beautiful so I had to go check it out in person. I hope you enjoy the video.

One of the best hikes in the Smoky Mountains by far. Best views, challenging, and a lot of fun to hike. Check out the video here: Alum Bluffs Cave Trail

Clark Jungle Hammock First Hang Experience

I was very anxious to get out this past weekend to test out my new Clark Jungle Hammock. As luck would have it, I got invited to go camping with a couple of my friends and so I was off to the Charles C. Deam Wilderness to test it out. Turned out we got some torrential rains and thunderstorms but I am happy to report that the hammock was comfy and dry and held up nicely.

Return to the Oriole West Trail in the Hoosier National Forest

After last week’s grueling three day hike and camp on the adventure hiking trail, I wanted to get out on a nice, pleasant day hike. Luckily, a friend of mine who heads up a hiking club invited me to return to one of my favorite trails in the Hoosier National Forest.
